Such joy to have our SE Gen 3 cohort kicking off their SE journey in April 2024; and our SE Gen 2 completing their Intermediate ll/lll training in October 2024. Equipped with new found knowledge and healing tools, our SE Singapore students are on an exciting journey to help their clients tackle trauma at its roots.

Embodiment & Healing Developmental Trauma – A Somatic Resilience Workshop (12-15 Oct 2024)

On 12-15 October 2024, embodiment expert Dr Abi Blakeslee equipped a group of social service, mental health and healthcare professionals with a dynamic tool kit of body-oriented physiological approaches to stabilize early developmental symptoms of trauma as well as re-regulation the nervous system using interoceptive awareness techniques. The four day workshop was held at EMCC.

Coaching Parents: Emotional Regulation, Decreasing Stress, Communication Skills for Secure Attachment Workshop

From a combination of lecture and practicing coaching skills, therapists learned effective strategies to teach parents skills to help with parent/child interactions and attachment. In this one day workshop on 11 October 2024 held at LaSalle House, participants learned the 6 regulation tools to work with stress and shut down; boundary and communication exercise that creates clear communication and promotes secure attachment and more.

In this four full day somatic resiliency workshop, participants learned from embodiment expert Dr Abi Blakeslee, a dynamic tool kit of body-oriented psychophysiological approaches to stabilize early developmental symptoms of trauma as well as re-regulation of the nervous system using interoceptive awareness techniques.

Many Faces of Chronic Stress – Public Education

More than 160 signed up for the free public talk and learnt some handles on how to manage stress with somatic experiencing. A recording of the session was shared to the participants after the event. Thanks to SAMH for their support in the publicity.

My Amazing Body

Through puppets, songs and craft, children learned about body signals, stabilisation tools, how their body respond to different environmental stimuli and more.
